Practical safety solutions for industrial automation

Schmersal presents efficient safety technology at the ‘all about automation 2018’ in Leipzig

Wuppertal, Germany, 23 July 2019. At the ‘all about automation’ trade fair, the Schmersal Group will introduce a compact range of safety components and systems that comply with today’s state of the art and offer practical solutions for safe automation. Schmersal is going to show how even complex systems with decentralised functions can be secured reliably via electrical sensors connected in series. However, in spite of series connection, you won’t have to deal with longer response times. In addition, the safety sensors provide diagnostic data that can help prevent avoidable machine downtimes. As an example, the sensors indicate in advance when a machine is in danger of a shut-down due to door offset. Another highlight shown by Schmersal at the ‘all about automation’ in Leipzig is the AZM300 solenoid interlock which is characterised by various mounting options. This interlock can be used flexibly as the new cross-shaped locking system enables a universal approach from three directions. As a result, one and the same model can be equally used for doors hinged on the left or on the right and for sliding doors as well.  Apart from this, the AZM300 has a hygienic concept, which is a decisive advantage regarding the use of these components in machines for the food industry. Schmersal also provides cost-effective and flexible solutions for save signal evaluation. This includes the multifunctional relay modules of the Protect SRB-E series that can be used for a variety of applications. Each module has several functions so that the customer can quickly and conveniently select the desired application or the desired function. No programming knowledge or software tools are required. Visit Schmersal from 12th to 13th  September 2018 at the ‘all about automation’ trade fair in Leipzig, Germany, hall C, stand C-103.
